The hollow body is a faithful echo of the original John D'Angelico design from 1959 but has been graced with a few sweet and modern tweaks, bringing the playing feel up to par while retaining the convincing look and sound of a genuine antique jazz-box. The Excel 59 comes complete with a deluxe hardshell case.
